Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to the realization of the LACA mission.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you might help with our fundraising, either in the planning or the carrying out of events, or researching and writing grant proposals. We also welcome assistance with the production of our newsletter (writing, editing and layout). Volunteers are always needed in preparation for our medical brigades (soliciting medications, counting and labeling pills, transporting brigade participants and supplies to the airport). If you are a health professional we encourage you to join us on a medical brigade to Latin America–usually 5-7 days in January or February. Of course, anyone who refers prospective donors to LACA is a prized volunteer, even if you never make yourself known to us!
